Little black lady
Do you know when you’re walking your way and suddenly you see something beautiful on a shop window? Maybe a lovely pair of shoes? … Can you feel that kind of desire? Well, that’s also happen to me with illustration. Browsing a catalogue or my Instagram, first I notice something, a detail, a note of color or a pose, that catches my eyes. Then my mind (before) and my hand (after) start to embroider around it adding other colors and elements, until it came out from my pencil as a figure, like this little black lady, born as a doodle sketched during a phone call.
Although I usually prefer digital coloring, some days really I “need” to realize my drawing by hand, trough pencil and brushes; nor with my graphic tablet but mixing water and colors concretely on the palette and then on paper.
Is there something that you prefer doing by yourself, with no digital mediation?
