Rosetta Getty and 5 “W”
The sinuous line dividing the white side from the black one, flowing but sharp at the same time. This is the element that captured my eyes when I first saw this look a few days ago on a warm morning, while browsing mindlessly Vogue’s virtual pages at breakfast (which obviously don’t literally means that I feed on fashion!).
Probably you’ll notice that the last few illustrations are someway different from what I used to draw. As I said a few posts ago, I’ve opened my mind and my eyes to look for new styles and compositions, moving from my fairies doodles to taste new flavors. Something similar to opening window to change the air in your room; when it’s done, you feel much more better. When you feel too much comfortable doing what you do, pleased with it, it’s time for you to leave the comfort zone, to enlarge your horizon. And I would add that it works not only for your creativity. Don’t you think? Now my “windows” are open and I’m grasping the inspirations that are coming in. I really hope you’ll appreciate those little changes of direction. Reaching the same point of arrival, it could be good to take a different way, isn’t it?
Well, those were the “why”, the “how” and the “when”. The “who”, obviously, is me! And to end, the “what” is this Rosetta Getty’s minimalistic and lovely look, picked from the Resort 2017 collection. As I said (I love to repeat myself, ahahah!), I hope you’ll like it and I wish you a lovely weekend!
