Sketching out Red Valentino

This illustration of Angela Yuen on Men’s Uno wearing her lovely Red Valentino has born as a doodle. I mindlessy sketched out it following her sinuous shape, with no particular aim. It was simply something to warm up my hand, an exercise that I learned at the Academy. It consists in depicting a figure using only a few lines (the less than you can) and no eraser, within a couple of minutes. The purpose is to learn sketching out a figure and looking at your subject, which is not so simple as you can assume (and if you’re keen on drawing, try it!). Most of the times, the result of the training ends on a stack of paper lying on my desk. Well, this has been one of that times when something in the subject catches both my attention and my hand, making me unable to put down the pencil and I simply can’t stop drawing and refining it. This is what I get colorizing.
