Under the sea
I was very hesitant about publishing this new illustration, today… You’ve probably heard about the tragedy that literally shaken Italy, yesterday. I can’t say how much it touched me, and my heart and my mind are with the victims of the earthquake. Events like that have the power to touch us deeply, leaving us unarmed and frustrated because of our powerlessness.
When tragedies like this occur, shaking up and upsetting our everyday life, the only thing we can do is to keep doing what we do, living our life, as we used to do, but more consciously. Aware that what we assume being taken for granted, well, is not so assumed! So this is what I’m able to do, right now: to keep on drawing, even if my contribute is more than tiny. Because this is what I most care about. And as my figure is submerged in sea, my mind is totally immersed in togetherness. So what I ask you today is to take a moment for calling all the things that are part of your life and you really care about to your mind.
